Overview
A self-initiated test shoot with a model friend to build stronger fashion portfolio work and improve my skills in directing and shooting model-based photography. With no brand behind it, the focus was on creating clean, editorial images through a simple concept, strong location, and natural lighting.

I handled the full shoot from location scouting and styling to directing, shooting, and editing the final images.

The goal was to create polished, fashion-focused images that still felt natural and effortless.
Minimal styling with strong silhouette
The outfit was kept simple and modern: wide black trousers, a white shirt, a necklace, and an oversized tan jacket.
Location + natural light doing the heavy lifting
I chose a dome location with strong structure and warm golden-hour natural light, which gave the images depth and a soft winter warmth.
Natural model direction
I directed poses, body positioning, and eyelines while keeping the expressions and movement relaxed.
Varied image set
The final set included wide shots, full-body images, and close-ups for a versatile fashion-focused outcome.
Results
The project delivered a strong set of clean editorial portfolio images, improved my confidence in directing model photography, and helped define the visual style I want to keep developing in future fashion and lifestyle work
